Freelance Site Manager – Social Housing Refurbishments Location: Nottingham Contract: Freelance / Temporary Start: Immediate / ASAP Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to oversee a range of social housing refurbishment projects across Nottingham and the surrounding areas. The role will involve managing live occupied and void properties, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard, while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and residents. Key Responsibilities: * Day-to-day management of refurbishment projects within social housing * Coordinating subcontractors and direct labour on site * Ensuring works are delivered on programme and within budget * Maintaining high standards of health & safety and site compliance * Liaising with clients, housing officers, and residents * Managing quality control, snagging, and handovers * Completing site paperwork, reports, and progress updates Requirements: * Proven experience as a Site Manager on social housing refurbishment projects * Experience working in occupied and/or void properties * Strong understanding of health & safety regulations * SMSTS (or SSSTS for smaller schemes) * First Aid at Work * Valid CSCS card * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Full UK driving licence Desirable: * Experience managing multiple small to medium refurbishment schemes * Local knowledge of Nottingham or the East Midlands This is a great opportunity for a reliable freelance Site Manager looking for ongoing work with a reputable contractor delivering essential housing improvements.
