DT Technician - Wellingborough Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire Pay: Competitive daily rate / hourly rate (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term roles available Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with secondary schools in the Wellingborough area who are seeking a reliable and practical Design & Technology (DT) Technician to support their DT departments. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong practical skills and an interest in education to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning in a busy DT setting. The role: Preparing materials, equipment, and resources for DT lessons Supporting teachers during practical lessons when required Maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment in line with health and safety regulations Managing stock levels, ordering supplies, and organising resources Ensuring workshops and classrooms are safe, clean, and well organised Supporting students with the safe use of equipment when appropriate We're looking for someone who: Has experience working in a DT environment (school-based or industry experience welcomed) Has good practical skills (e.g. wood, metal, textiles, electronics, or resistant materials) Has a strong understanding of health and safety procedures Is organised, proactive, and able to work independently Has good communication skills and a team-focused approach Holds (or is willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS on the update service Why work with Tradewind Recruitment?
