What You’ll Be Doing Site, Grounds & Maintenance Supporting the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of school buildings and grounds across multiple sites Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs Completing general DIY tasks including basic plumbing, carpentry, decorating, and minor repairs Maintaining outdoor spaces including gardens, play areas, and waste storage facilities Reporting faults, hazards, and maintenance issues to leadership or site management Supporting room setups for assemblies, events, and school activities Assisting with site security and key holding responsibilities Transport & Pupil Support Driving school minibuses when required to transport pupils, staff, and equipment Carrying out routine vehicle safety checks and ensuring minibuses remain clean and roadworthy Supporting pupils during transport, including assisting wheelchair users and securing specialist equipment Ensuring safety procedures are followed at all times including seatbelt and restraint use Completing transport and safety compliance records Health, Safety & Safeguarding Supporting health and safety checks in line with statutory requirements Assisting with fire safety checks including fire doors and emergency exit routes Reporting hazards, damaged equipment, or safety concerns promptly Maintaining safeguarding standards and promoting pupil wellbeing Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times What We’re Looking For Full UK Driving Licence (D1 licence desirable) Experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities, or grounds work Good practical DIY and maintenance skills Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities Reliable, flexible, and able to work across multiple school sites Strong communication and teamwork skills Willingness to undertake relevant training Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) Desirable: Experience working within a school or SEN environment Experience supporting children or adults with disabilities What’s On Offer £120 per day Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm 52-week role providing year-round stability Temp to Perm opportunity
