Maintenance Engineer With a commanding position in the UK FMCG and Food market sector, this highly respected brand has witnessed massive investment and expansion in its Lancashire Facility. To continue their expansion model there is a need to increase the already successful engineering team. Position: Multiskilled Engineer Location: Preston Package: Negotiable * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across production equipment. * Fault-find and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, implementing permanent solutions. * Support continuous improvement initiatives across the engineering function. * Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge-sharing across the team. * Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety, quality, and environmental * Building control panels * Diagnose and repair faults efficiently to reduce downtime. * Conduct regular inspections and proactive maintenance to ensure reliability and safety. * Assist in the installation and commissioning of new systems and equipment. * Keep detailed records of maintenance activities using a CMMS (tablet-based, training provided). * Manage critical spare parts and ensure effective inventory control. * Issue and manage Permits to Work for contractors, ensuring compliance and safety. * Support black building testing and respond to alarms via the Trend BMS. * Contribute to continuous improvement and performance initiatives. * Deliver weekly reports in line with contractual KPIs. Requirements * Qualifications preferred should be an NVQ level 3 or equivalent in engineering with experience in a similar role. * Must have strong electrical fault-finding experience, WITH 18TH Edition qualifications Familiarity with technical manuals, schematics and drawings. * To be able to work independently or part of a team
