Contract Strategic Buyer Commodity Manager / Senior Buyer Long contract 6 months rolling Site based Monday – Friday, early finish Friday We’re seeking an experienced Strategic Buyer / Commodity Manager to drive strategic sourcing, strengthen supplier relationships, and deliver sustainable cost reduction across key mechanical / engineering direct commodities. This role offers the chance to support supply-chain strategy while supporting critical initiatives including work transfers and new product introduction (NPI) projects alongside supplier relationship management, cost reductions and strategic sourcing. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned to business goals Lead RFQs, negotiations, and supplier agreements Build and manage high-performing supplier relationships Deliver cost savings through value engineering and commercial initiatives Support work transfer projects and ensure NPI supply readiness Identify and mitigate supply-chain risksAbout You Proven sourcing or commodity management experience within manufacturing or engineering Strong commercial, negotiation, and analytical skills Commodity experience across: mechanical, engineering, metalwork, castings, raw materials or similar items Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP ideal) Able to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes  Please apply via the link or contact Alison Kemp for further details
