We have an excellent opportunity to join an established St. James’s Place Wealth Management practice as a Protection Administrator, to support a Specialist Protection financial adviser within the team based in the Moorgate, London on a full-time basis. Role Overview This role is highly suited to an individual with previous knowledge or experience of working with protection products in an administrative capacity. They will be looking to bring their administrative and client servicing skills to a new working environment where they can develop further and be an integral part of a successful team. Role Overview Working alongside their Advisory Team, your responsibilities will be to provide full back-office support to their in-house Protection Specialist. The role is key in maintaining compliance, managing client documentation and drafting of the Protection Specialist’s advice recommendations. Previous experience in protection or mortgage administration is highly desirable for this position, as is the ability to work in a fast paced environment. You shall be responsible for dealing with the administration and processing of all protection cases including Life Assurance, Income Protection, Critical illness cover, Mortgage protection and private medical insurance. There will also be scope to develop your knowledge and understanding of other financial services products to support the wider team as required. Should you wish to complete further training and professional qualifications in this field, the company will also support the CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning qualification as well as internally high recognised administrative qualifications. Role Responsibilities * Contact clients to book in appointments with the adviser. * Prepare full and bespoke client CFRs via Salesforce and supporting documentation to assist with * The production of suitability letters and relevant approvals for business submissions and all associated materials) on behalf of the Protection Specialist. * Become competent and proficient in use of support systems, e.g. Salesforce, My Practice, iBusiness, * Use Aptus, IRESS and third-party protection provider portal (full training will be provided) * Draft compliant and ‘suitable’ suitability reports via Aptus. * Assist the Protection Specialist with research on insurance providers for clients. * Liaise with insurers, underwriters, and other third parties to obtain updates and resolve queries. * Follow up with clients GP surgeries to ensure medical reports are returned to the provider. * Actively manage and monitor a pipeline of business and tasks. * Update the adviser on case progress and highlight any issues or delays. * Ensure all administrative tasks comply with FCA regulations, company policies and processes. * Support the adviser with file checking and preparing for compliance reviews. * Keep templates, forms, and internal documents up to date. * Understanding of FCA compliance and client confidentiality standards. Technical skills required * Good level of computer literacy, including Word, Excel and Outlook. We will train you on everything else including all financial services CRM packages. * Effective communication skills, not afraid to pick up the phone to chase information or provide an answer to a client’s query * Previous experience in Protection products. * RO5 qualification desirable (not essential) * Previous experience of Salesforce, iBusiness, Aptus highly desirable (not essential) Personal attributes Good energy and enthusiasm and the desire to succeed in the role Professional and approachable manner to clients and colleagues Well presented Comfortable working in a fast-paced working environment, multi-tasking as required. Educational experience in related subjects preferred (but not essential) e.g. Economics, Maths, finance, accounting etc Able to travel to and work from our office in Moorgate on a full-time basis. Additional information Salary: Between £25-30K based on experience Role type: Employed role Location: Moorgate, London, EC2V (office based) Hours of work: Full time Monday to Friday. Office based work required during probation and training period, with the option to work from home two days a week (Monday and Friday) thereafter.
