Senior Estimator Location: London Sector: Commercial Construction & Fit Out Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our clients London operation, specialising in commercial construction and fit-out projects. You will play a key role in tendering, cost planning, and securing new work across a range of high-quality London-based projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial fit-out and construction projects across London Manage the full tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission Analyse drawings, specifications, and employer's requirements to identify risks and opportunities Source and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers familiar with the London market Produce detailed bills of quantities, cost plans, and tender reports Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and directors during pre-construction Assess value engineering options and alternative proposals Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market rates, materials, and subcontractor pricing Support post-tender clarifications and handover to delivery teams Requirements Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within commercial construction and fit-out Strong track record of estimating London-based projects In-depth knowledge of London subcontractor markets, procurement routes, and pricing structures Ability to work on multiple tenders simultaneously to tight deadlines Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail Strong communication and negotiation skills Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office Relevant construction qualification (preferred but not essential) Desirable Experience with CAT A and CAT B fit-out projects Background working for a main contractor or specialist fit-out contractor Knowledge of JCT contracts What We Offer Competitive salary package Opportunity to work on high-profile London commercial projects Career progression within a growing business Collaborative and professional working environment
