Job Title: Contracts Manager Location: Kent (with relocation to Gravesend office) Salary: Circa £50,000 (flexible for the right candidate) Sector: Fit-Out & Refurbishment (No New Build) Overview We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join a growing construction business specialising in fit-out and refurbishment projects. The role requires a commercially focused individual who can manage multiple projects and contribute to successful project delivery from pre-contract through to completion. The position will be based from our Kent office, transitioning to our Gravesend office, with a blend of office and site-based working. Key Responsibilities * Managing multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects from pre-contract through to final account * Full responsibility for contract administration and compliance * Working closely with the commercial team to control costs, variations, and profitability * Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers * Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards * Overseeing site teams and supporting project delivery * Identifying, managing, and mitigating contractual and commercial risks * Providing regular progress and financial reports to senior management Candidate Requirements * Proven experience working as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role * Strong commercial awareness and understanding of construction contracts * Background in fit-out and refurbishment projects (essential) * Solid experience in contract administration and cost control * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills * Full UK driving licence preferred Working Pattern * 2–3 days per week office-based * Remaining time site-based Package & Benefits * Salary circa £50,000, with flexibility for the right candidate * 10–15% performance-related bonus * Car allowance * Annual holiday entitlement * Opportunity for long-term career progression
