Mobile HGV Mechanic Location: Heathrow Salary:  £42,120-£45,045 -£18.00 per hour +Company Van Hours: Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm Every other Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm (paid at time and a quarter) Mobile HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician The Role We are recruiting an experienced Mobile HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician to join a busy and well-established operation. This is a mobile position responding to vehicle breakdowns and carrying out maintenance and servicing both roadside and within a workshop environment when call-out levels are low. Mobile role covering M1 to M23 corridor, including Slough, Guildford & Redhill You will attend an average of 3–5 call-outs per day and, during quieter periods, work from a workshop located near Heathrow. A company van is provided and must be kept clean, tidy, and fully stocked at all times. Mobile HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician -Key Responsibilities Carry out HGV breakdown repairs, maintenance, and servicing on and off site Respond to mobile call-outs across the designated coverage area Complete accurate job cards, service sheets, and timesheets Communicate effectively with control teams and management to prioritise workload Work in the workshop when mobile demand is low Maintain high standards of health & safety and safe working practices Ensure punctuality, professionalism, and quality of workmanship Keep the mobile workshop vehicle clean, organised, and well stocked Attend training courses when required Mobile HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician -Requirements Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (essential) Proven experience working with HGVs Full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points (LGV licence preferred but not essential) Ability to provide a 5-year work history for enhanced background checks Willingness to undergo checks required for airside access Strong organisational skills and a professional, customer-focused approach Mobile HGV Mechanic / HGV Technician What’s on Offer Competitive hourly rate of £18.00 per hour Overtime paid at 1.25x for Saturday work Company van provided Stable, full-time position with consistent hours Mix of mobile and workshop-based work
