Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager Location: UK Manufacturing Site Sector: FMCG / Food Manufacturing Reports to: Site Director Direct Reports: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers, Engineering Apprentice Overview We are working with a well-established FMCG manufacturing business seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the site engineering function. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all plant, equipment, and facilities. The successful candidate will lead a multi-skilled engineering team, drive maintenance excellence, and support operational performance while developing long-term capability within the engineering function. Key Responsibilities * Lead and organise the day-to-day operations of the engineering workshop and maintenance team * Take full responsibility for site-wide maintenance of plant, equipment, and services, ensuring high reliability and performance * Support production teams to ensure output and efficiency targets are consistently met * Plan, implement, and manage preventative and improvement maintenance programmes in line with TPM principles * Develop and maintain a robust spare parts and stock management system * Implement, monitor, and report on engineering KPIs * Ensure all engineering activities comply with current health & safety legislation, statutory requirements, and internal procedures * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical safety regulations and engineering compliance standards * Manage engineering budgets, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and solutions * Propose and deliver continuous improvement initiatives, capital projects, and site investments * Oversee and control external contractors working on site Health & Safety Safety is a core value of the business.
