Data Migration Engineer

Walker Cole International is supporting a UK-based life sciences organisation undertaking a large-scale ERP transformation programme. As part of this initiative, we are recruiting a Data Migration Engineer Contractor to provide specialist data migration expertise across a fixed-term ERP implementation project. This role will support a phased ERP rollout, ensuring accurate, compliant, and validated migration of data from legacy systems into a new enterprise platform within a regulated GMP environment. Key responsibilities: * Plan, execute, and validate data migration activities from multiple legacy systems into a new ERP platform. * Ensure data integrity, accuracy, traceability, and regulatory compliance throughout the migration lifecycle. * Support and manage data archival, data cleansing, de-duplication, and transformation activities to improve data quality. * Operate independently, managing workload, timelines, and methods of delivery. Required experience and skills: * Proven experience delivering data migration activities within ERP implementation programmes. * Experience working in GMP-regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or similar). * Strong understanding of data integrity principles, validation, and regulatory compliance. * Hands-on experience with data cleansing, de-duplication, and archival strategies. * Ability to work autonomously in a contract role with minimal supervision. * Strong stakeholder engagement and documentation skills.
