Semi-Skilled Modular / Portable Manufacturing Operative

About the Role Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting an experienced and dependable Semi-Skilled Operative to join a well-established and growing business within the modular, portable and leisure building industry. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on industry experience who enjoys practical work and can confidently support the build, refurbishment and installation of modular units. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment where quality, safety and teamwork are key. What You'll Be Doing Carrying out semi-skilled assembly and refurbishment of modular and portable buildings Supporting the fit-out and finishing of units, both internally and externally Assisting installation teams with on-site setup and preparation when required Completing a variety of basic trade tasks, including: General carpentry Plumbing assistance Electrical support (non-qualified tasks) General repairs and maintenance Using tools and equipment safely and efficiently Ensuring all work meets quality standards and health & safety requirements Keeping the workshop/yard clean, organised and compliant Working closely with supervisors and fellow operatives to meet project deadlines What We're Looking For Essential: Proven experience within the modular, portable or leisure building sector Ability to carry out semi-skilled tasks with minimal supervision Strong understanding of health & safety in workshop and site environments Reliable, hardworking and a strong team player Desirable (but not essential): Experience in one or more trades (carpentry, plumbing, maintenance, etc.) Forklift licence or plant experience Full UK driving licence What's in It for You?
