Superflex Roadside Technician Location: Chelmsford and Surrounding areas Salary: £48,720 basic plus overtime and bonus OTE £55k plus Hours: 40 hours per week plus overtime opportunities   About the Role We’re looking for a Superflex Roadside Patrol Mechanic to join a fast-paced, customer-focused roadside assistance team in the Chelmsford area. This role is built for mechanics who value variety, flexibility, and independence. You’ll be supporting motorists when they need it most, delivering professional roadside diagnostics and repairs across a wide range of scenarios. Salary: £48,720 basic salary OTE up to £55,000 with overtime and bonusesWorking Pattern: Average 40 hours per week across the year Rota issued 7 days in advance, with core hours confirmed 3 days prior Shifts between 06:00 and 02:00, including early starts, evenings, weekends, and bank holidaysNo two days are the same, making this role ideal for mechanics who thrive outside the traditional 9–5. What You’ll Be Doing Attending roadside breakdowns and diagnosing vehicle faults Carrying out repairs such as battery replacements, tyre changes, and minor mechanical fixes Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults where possible Delivering a calm, professional, and customer-focused service at all times Managing your own workload, tools, vehicle stock, and digital job reports Making safe, informed decisions to get motorists back on the road quicklyWhat We’re Looking For Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification experience, including diagnostics and electrical work Strong customer service and communication skills Full UK driving licence Flexibility to work variable shifts at short notice Willingness to travel and stay overnight if requiredWhat’s in It for You Company vehicle (van), fuel card, uniform, tools, and diagnostic equipment provided Strong base salary with overtime and bonus opportunities 23 days holiday plus bank holidays (rising to 25 with service) Pension scheme with matched contributions Life assurance cover 24/7 wellbeing and employee support services Discount platform covering tools, tech, travel, and more Share scheme and car salary sacrifice options available (subject to eligibility)Why Apply?
