Senior Buyer

Senior Buyer - Buyer – Manufacturing - Cannock Brooklyn Recruitment currently have some exciting roles available in the Cannock area for a Senior Buyer within the manufacturing sector. This role would suit someone with purchasing / buying experience within a manufacturing environment, electrical manufacturing would be ideal but isn’t essential. This company have an excellent working environment with the building being light, bright and clean. You would be joining a 6 strong procurement team as Senior Buyer and a total workforce of around 200 but this company still has a family friendly feel to it, where everyone is known by name and you even get your birthday off! As a Senior Buyer you will be: * Establishing relationships with and negotiating with suppliers. * Negotiating freight costs. * Adhering to all buying procedures. * Managing demand reports. * Establishing and updating safety stock levels against demand. * Working with LEAN manufacturing initiatives. * Escalating any supplier quality issues with the NCR team. * Ensuring all supplier payment terms are I line with the company standards. * Negotiating once quotes are received to ensure the best deals. * Rejecting / negotiating any price increases from suppliers. * Working with suppliers to ensure they deliver on time and in full. * Producing supplier reports and categorising them. * Other duties as required.
