School Caretaker - Bexleyheath Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am-1:00pm Pay: £14+ per hour Employer: Working on behalf of Academics for a local school Academics are currently recruiting a School Caretaker to support a friendly local school in Bexleyheath. This is a part-time, morning role ideal for someone with previous caretaking, facilities, or site support experience. Key Responsibilities: Opening and securing the school site General site maintenance and basic repairs Carrying out health & safety checks Setting up rooms for school activities and events Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained Supporting staff with ad-hoc site-related tasks Liaising with contractors where required The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience as a caretaker, site assistant, or facilities operative (preferred) Reliable, practical, and hands-on approach Good understanding of health & safety Able to work independently and take initiative Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one) This is a great opportunity to work school-friendly hours in a supportive environment
