Field Service Specialist


Overview We are seeking a driven and dependable Field Service Specialist with strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills. This role combines technical service delivery with a consultative, value focused sales approach within the food, beverage, and dairy manufacturing sector. The successful candidate will build long term customer relationships, deliver innovative hygiene and process solutions, and support customers in achieving operational efficiency, sustainability, and food safety standards. This is a field based role, ideally suited to someone residing in Mid to South Wales, with frequent travel to customer sites. Key Responsibilities * Build and maintain strong, long term relationships with key customer stakeholders. * Introduce new programmes, service concepts, and innovations to customers. * Conduct site surveys, prepare commercial and technical proposals, and present solutions to win new and existing business. * Manage margins to deliver agreed gross profit targets. * Advise and consult on hygiene chemical selection, technical application, and process optimisation. * Support customers with both routine and specialist hygiene and sanitation challenges. * Deliver contracted value through consistent service, technical expertise, and innovation. * Provide innovative, value added solutions tailored to customer needs. * Develop customer understanding of safety standards through training, application of safety instructions, and use of dedicated safety tools. * Actively promote and advocate a strong health and safety culture. * Maintain accurate and timely records within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Minimum Requirements * Proven technical expertise in dairy applications, specifically whey processing and membrane filtration. * Strong knowledge of the food and beverage market with food technology expertise. * Solid understanding of food safety principles and best practice. * Equipment and process expertise, including digital solutions such as CIP and COP systems, 3DT CIP, and MCI. * A value driven, consultative mindset focused on delivering measurable customer outcomes. * Highly self driven and self motivated, with the ability to work independently in a field based environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint * Experience using Power BI. * Comfortable working with digital applications and tools. * Location and Travel * Field based role covering Mid to South Wales. * Regular travel required to customer sites, typically four to five days per week. * Full UK driving licence is essential
