Test Manager (System Acceptance & Validation) 6-month contract – Inside IR35 – Rate TBC Clearance: Must hold or be eligible for a SC security clearance. You will be responsible for ensuring that the integrated COTS-based solution—spanning LTE, TETRA, Satcom, and ruggedised enclosures—meets the rigorous "Mission Success" criteria defined by the customer. As the Test Manager, you will prove that the system works in the environments where it matters most. You will collaborate with the Solutions Architect and the four functional engineering leads to design a comprehensive Test Program that validates every requirement. Your Focus: System Acceptance Testing (SAT), Customer Liaison, Verification & Validation (V&V) Key Responsibilities Test Strategy & Case Development Work with the Comm Systems, IP, Mech/Elec, and OSS engineers to design verifiable test cases. Traceability: Maintain the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM), ensuring requirements are mapped Scenarised Testing: Move beyond simple "pass/fail" checks to design "Mission Scenarios" Customer Liaison & Agreement Negotiation: Act as the lead technical diplomat to agree on the System Acceptance Criteria Test Readiness Reviews (TRR): Lead formal reviews with the Customer Test Planning & Execution Master Test Plan (MTP): Author and maintain the MTP, including the identification of test environments (Lab, Field, and Contested RF ranges). Execution Leadership: Direct the engineering team during the execution of test cases. Defect Management: Lead the triage of failed tests. Documentation & Acceptance Final Test Reports (FTR): Compile all test results, logs, and telemetry from the OSS Manager Certification Support: Coordinate with third-party labs for specific certifications (environmental or CSfC security audits). Preferred Experience & Skills Defense V&V Experience: Formal Verification and Validation experience Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with the performance metrics of LTE/5G, TETRA, and IP Networking including "Call Trace" or a "Latency Log." Methodology: Expert knowledge of DOORS, Jira, or ALM for requirements and defect tracking. Field Testing: Experience managing outdoor, tactical field trials involving masts, vehicles, and RF jamming equipment. Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills; ability to remain firm on technical facts while maintaining a collaborative relationship with the customer
