Aspire People is working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established two-form entry primary school in the M27 area of Manchester, who are seeking a committed Year 2 Class Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This school is known locally for its strong leadership, supportive staff culture, and clear focus on pupil progress and wellbeing. The Year 2 team works collaboratively, with shared planning and strong TA support, particularly around phonics, writing, and SATs preparation. The Role: Full class teaching responsibility for a Year 2 cohort Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum Preparing pupils for end of KS1 assessments in a supportive, low-pressure way Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider KS1 team Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs Building strong relationships with pupils and parents The Ideal Candidate: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Experience in KS1, particularly Year 2 (ECTs welcome) Strong understanding of phonics, early writing, and assessment A calm, organised, and nurturing teaching style Confident managing a full classroom environment This is a long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent for the right teacher.
