Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer Location: South West England Salary: Up to £36,000 (DOE) Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Overview We are recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established organisation that has recently secured a major Legionella contract, alongside additional commercial contracts across the South West. Due to this growth, our client is looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor / Water Hygiene Engineer who can operate autonomously, represent the business professionally, and play a key role in the long-term development of the contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants stability, responsibility, and a genuine pathway into Account Management with the backing of a large company. The Role You will be responsible for delivering Legionella compliance services across a varied portfolio of sites, with a strong focus on the Somerset Council contract. This is a standalone role, requiring someone confident in both technical delivery and client-facing responsibilities. Key responsibilities include: Carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 and HSG274 Cold water storage tank inspections, cleans, and disinfections Water temperature monitoring, flushing, and remedial works Producing clear, compliant reports and action plans Acting as a site supervisor where required Attending client meetings and representing the business professionally Providing basic quotations and identifying opportunities for additional works Supporting the development and long-term success of key contracts About You We are looking for someone who is technically competent, confident working independently, and comfortable dealing directly with clients.
