Cook ,Nursery . Hours: Monday - Friday only. No evenings or weekends. Starting Salary: £27,000- £28,000pa + excellent further training and career progression opportunities. Job Summary We are seeking a cook to lead our nursery team and deliver healthy experiences for the children. The ideal candidate will possess culinary skills, and a passion for food preparation and presentation. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained. The Cook will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of our establishment while fostering a positive and productive work environment working with children. Starting Salary: £26,000- £28,000pa + excellent further training and career progression opportunities. No evenings or Weekend shift patterns. Duties * Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards * Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and adherence to safety regulations * Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to maintain cost-effective operations * Ensure compliance with food safety standards and health regulations at all times * Collaborate with management on menu development, special events, and promotional activities * Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in line with hygiene standards * Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and culinary excellence within the kitchen environment Requirements * Proven experience in a kitchen environment * Culinary experience with skills in food preparation and cooking techniques * Knowledge of food safety regulations tions and best practices in food hygiene, allergy awareness.
