Construction Planner – London Location: London Sector: Major Projects / Main Contracting Salary: Competitive + excellent package A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join its London team, working on high-profile projects across the capital. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking business delivering complex, technically challenging schemes. The Role As a Construction Planner, you will play a key role in the successful planning and delivery of major construction projects, from pre-construction through to completion. You will work closely with project teams, commercial staff, and senior management to develop, manage, and maintain robust programmes. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage detailed construction programmes from tender stage through delivery Prepare baseline, target, and short-term programmes Carry out progress updates, programme reviews, and reporting Identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies within project schedules Support delay analysis, change management, and programme recovery where required Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure programme alignment About You Proven experience as a Planner within a main contractor environment Strong working knowledge of planning software (Primavera P6 essential; Asta Powerproject beneficial) Experience working on large-scale or complex construction projects Solid understanding of construction methodology and sequencing Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Degree-qualified in a construction-related discipline (desirable but not essential) What’s On Offer Opportunity to work for a top main contractor with an excellent industry reputation Exposure to some of the most exciting projects in the UK.
