Town Planner Newcastle £40,000 - £45,000 We are partnering with a leading, well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy with over 10 offices nationwide across the UK. The role offers exposure to a diverse and continually expanding workload, with projects spanning multiple sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, education, retail, energy, leisure, and employment. Key Responsibilities Working closely with clients to understand planning requirements and guide them through the planning process Leading and managing a wide range of planning projects and client relationships Preparing and submitting planning applications in line with relevant legislation and policy Delivering planning work across multiple regimes, including Marine, Environmental, Renewable, and Major Infrastructure Engaging with stakeholders, local authorities, and communities to support project outcomes Undertaking assessments to inform Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) Managing EIA projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and timely delivery Keeping up to date with planning legislation, policy changes, and best practice Supporting and mentoring junior team membersQualifications & Experience Relevant planning qualification with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience RTPI Chartered status preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive and organised approach to problem-solving and project management Experience in planning consultancy and/or EIA management desirable Commitment to sustainability and responsible developmentWhat’s on Offer Competitive salary with an excellent flexible benefits package Comprehensive training and professional fee reimbursement Contributory pension, private healthcare, and life insurance Interest-free travel loan scheme 33 days annual leave (including public holidays) Annual leave purchase and buy-back options Bonus schemes, including loyalty and qualification awards Additional benefits may vary by office locationIf you are interested in this Town Planner position, please contact
