Electro Mechanical Design Engineer

Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer 📍 Hybrid role We’re looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team, working on the design and development of BMS peripherals and HVAC control products. This is a hybrid role offering a mix of hands-on engineering, design ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. You’ll play a key role in taking products from concept through to manufacture, supporting both new developments and existing product improvements. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electro-mechanical components and assemblies for BMS and HVAC control applications Create and maintain 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software) Work closely with electronics, firmware, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, cost-effective designs Support prototyping, testing, validation, and design reviews Manage design changes, tolerances, and documentation throughout the product lifecycle Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards, compliance, and quality requirements Assist with supplier engagement and manufacturing handover when requiredSkills & Experience Degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical, or Product Design Engineering Proven experience in electro-mechanical design within BMS, HVAC controls, building services, or related industries Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar 3D CAD software) Experience designing for manufacture and assembly (DFMA) Understanding of BMS peripherals, sensors, controllers, enclosures, or control panels Comfortable working in a hybrid engineering environment (office + remote) Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detailDesirable (but not essential) Experience with sheet metal, plastics, and enclosure design Knowledge of HVAC systems or building automation protocols Exposure to compliance standards relevant to building controlsWhat We Offer Hybrid working with flexibility Opportunity to work on real-world building automation products Collaborative, engineering-led environment Competitive salary and benefits package Clear scope to influence product design and technical directionIf you are an Electo-Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next contract, we'd be keen to speak.  Apply now or get in touch for more information
