Transport Supervisor Bristol Up to £33,000 + Benefits Manufacturing Sector About the Role A leading manufacturing business in Bristol is seeking a proactive and organised Transport Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day transport operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and can lead a small team to deliver exceptional service. You’ll play a key part in ensuring goods are dispatched efficiently, vehicles are utilised effectively, and customer delivery expectations are consistently met. Key Responsibilities * Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely and accurate dispatch of goods. * Manage and support drivers, including scheduling, briefings, and performance oversight. * Monitor vehicle utilisation, routing, and load planning to maximise efficiency. * Ensure compliance with transport legislation, company policies, and health & safety standards. * Liaise with internal departments (production, warehouse, customer service) to coordinate delivery requirements. * Handle transport‑related queries, delays, and issues, providing quick and effective solutions. * Maintain accurate transport records, delivery notes, and system updates. * Support continuous improvement initiatives across the transport function. * Assist with KPI reporting and operational analysis. Skills & Experience Required * Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution supervisory role. * Strong understanding of transport compliance and UK road regulations. * Excellent organisational and communication skills. * Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team. * Confident decision‑maker with a calm approach under pressure. * IT‑literate, ideally with experience using transport or warehouse management systems. * Manufacturing or fast‑paced operational background is advantageous.
