Our client, a leading provider in the training sector, is seeking an Academic Trainer to join their team in Portsmouth. This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week on a term-time-only basis at Gosport. As part of a bold transformation in electrical training, you will have the opportunity to leverage your engineering expertise to mentor the next generation of engineers. Key Responsibilities: Delivering training to groups of up to 24 trainees in Electrical or Electronic engineering and machine principles Conducting practical lab sessions, demonstrating key principles and supervising trainee experiments Marking and check-marking assessments to ensure accuracy and consistency Maintaining and updating training materials with Training Design staff Job Requirements: Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications Foundation Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering (or a related engineering discipline), or an HND/FdSc in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, or proven teaching/practical experience in Electronic or Electrical Engineering Eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications Classroom experience in teaching technical subjects in an adult education environment Level 4 teaching qualification Benefits: Flexible benefits including extra leave purchase, paid volunteering days, enhanced family leave, lifestyle discounts, and access to inclusive employee networks Onsite, secure parking Catering facilities, gym and shops onsite Rewarding role making a real difference to those joining and progressing within the business Opportunity to gain further qualifications This role is offered on a term-time basis, working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August.
