Junior Biomedical Engineer


JUNIOR BIOMEDICAL ENGINEER Location: Site-based (Hospital environment - London) Contract: Permanent Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week The Role An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Junior Biomedical Engineer to join a well-established healthcare engineering team, providing on-site medical device repair, preventative maintenance and asset management within a hospital setting. The role focuses on delivering high-quality technical support against contractual KPIs while building strong working relationships with clinical staff, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure a responsive and reliable service. Key Responsibilities Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance (PPM) on medical equipment in line with manufacturer guidelines Diagnose and complete repairs on a range of medical devices Support the Site Manager / Team Leader in achieving contractual KPIs Provide responsive technical support to minimise disruption to hospital operations Complete all service-related administration accurately and on time Maintain service documentation in line with business and regulatory requirements Manage spare parts stock where required Plan and complete assigned workloads within agreed timescales Maintain safe working practices within a clinical environment Maintain tools and test equipment to required standards Liaise with OEM service staff and management when required Qualifications/Experience: Degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics or Medical Technologies (e.g. Biomedical Engineering) 6 months - 1 years UK-based experience carrying service/repair work on medical equipment You must have the right to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship to be eligible to apply for this role.
