Mental Health Teaching Assistant Location: Corby, Northamptonshire Pay: £90-£95 per day (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time / Long-term (term-time only) Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting a compassionate and resilient Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work in a supportive school setting in the Corby area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs. The Role: As a Mental Health TA, you will: Support pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups Help students manage emotions, behaviour and engagement in learning Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and well-being Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate: Experience working with children or young people with mental health, SEMH or additional needs A calm, patient and empathetic approach Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to remain resilient in challenging situations Backgrounds in psychology, youth work, counselling, care, or education are highly desirable Why Work with Tradewind?
