Financial Controller – Construction Location: Aldridge (Office-Based) Salary: Competitive, DOE Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join a growing construction business, based full-time from our Aldridge office. This is a key senior role, working closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to provide strong financial control, accurate reporting, and commercial insight across the business. Key Responsibilities * Full responsibility for company financial control and reporting * Preparation of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and cashflow * Oversee job costing, WIP, valuations, and project profitability * Manage CVRs, applications for payment, and margin analysis * Control payroll, CIS, VAT (including reverse charge), and statutory compliance * Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning * Liaise with auditors, banks, accountants, and external advisors * Maintain and improve financial systems, controls, and reporting processes Requirements * Proven experience as a Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager within construction * Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, CVRs, and construction cashflow * Solid knowledge of CIS, VAT, and construction-specific accounting * ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience) * Highly organised, detail-focused, and commercially aware * Comfortable working in a hands-on, office-based role What’s on Offer * Senior, stable position within an established construction business * Competitive salary depending on experience * Long-term opportunity with influence and responsibility * Office-based role with close involvement in day-to-day operations How to Apply Apply with your CV or contact us for a confidential discussion about the role
