Principal Air Quality Consultant Location: Bristol (3 days a week office based) Salary: Up to £60,000 + benefits I’m working on behalf of a well-established, employee-owned engineering and environmental consultancy to support the continued growth of their air quality capability. Their project portfolio includes: Major residential and mixed-use developments Strategic land and regeneration schemes Commercial and industrial projects Infrastructure and transport-led developments Planning-led and EIA-scale assessmentsThe Role As a Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will take a leading role in shaping and delivering the air quality service, with responsibilities spanning: Technical Leading and reviewing air quality assessments for planning and EIA projects Managing complex dispersion modelling and technical outputs Acting as a senior technical authority within the teamCommercial Supporting and leading fee proposals and bids Managing project finances and ensuring strong commercial outcomes Building trusted, long-term client relationshipsLeadership & Management Line management, mentoring and development of junior and mid-level consultants Overseeing workload planning, quality assurance and technical standards Contributing to the strategic growth of the air quality disciplineAbout You Strong consultancy background in air quality Proven experience delivering and reviewing complex projects Comfortable balancing technical delivery with commercial responsibility Experience managing or mentoring staff (or ready to step into this level) Confident communicator with clients and multidisciplinary teamsWhat’s on Offer Salary up to £60,000, dependent on experience Hybrid working from London, Bristol or Manchester (3 days a week) The benefits of employee ownership, including shared success and long-term stability Clear progression pathways to senior leadership / director level High-quality, varied project exposure across multiple sectors Supportive, technically strong and people-focused cultureInterested in this role or any others relating to Air Quality Consultancy?
