Construction Tutor - Immediate Start

Construction Tutor (BTEC Level 1) Secondary SEND School | Full-Time | Term-Time Location: Bristol Start Date: As Soon As Possible Pay: £150 - £240 per day We are working in partnership with an exceptional SEND secondary school to recruit a Construction Tutor to deliver BTEC Level 1 Construction and KS3 enrichment across Years 7–9. This is a tutor position — QTS is not required. The school is keen to hear from candidates with a vocational, FE, or industry background who are passionate about engaging young people in construction and practical learning. The Role As a Construction Tutor, you will: * Deliver the BTEC Level 1 Construction qualification, including all required coursework, assessment, and administration * Plan and teach construction-based enrichment lessons to students in Years 7, 8 and 9 * Support learners with varying abilities, building confidence and employability skills * Maintain accurate assessment records and contribute to internal verification processes * Work closely with school staff to ensure a positive, safe, and engaging learning environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: * Has experience delivering BTEC or vocational construction courses (school or FE setting) * Is confident managing coursework, portfolios, and assessment evidence * Can engage and motivate KS3 learners * Comes from a background in construction, the trades, FE, or vocational education * Has strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills Desirable but not essential: * Teaching or training experience in FE, AP, PRU, or secondary schools * Assessor qualifications (A1, TAQA, CAVA, etc.) How to Apply: If you’re a Construction Tutor, Vocational Lecturer, or industry professional looking to inspire the next generation, we’d love to hear from you.
