The business delivers technically robust, sustainable design solutions across the built environment and works on a diverse portfolio of local, national, and international projects. This is a senior technical and leadership role offering the opportunity to lead complex mechanical building services projects, develop client relationships, and support the growth and performance of a high-quality local team. The Role As an Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will take responsibility for the delivery of mechanical design services across multiple sectors, working closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams. You will act as a key point of contact on projects, ensuring technical excellence, commercial performance, and repeat business opportunities. Key responsibilities include: Leading the mechanical design delivery of small to large-scale building services projects Acting as the primary client contact and maintaining strong professional relationships Defining and agreeing project briefs, scopes, and deliverables Coordinating mechanical services within multidisciplinary design teams Managing project resources, workloads, and technical outputs Monitoring project costs, programme, and profitability Ensuring compliance with relevant British Standards and industry best practice Supporting bid submissions and promoting the wider consultancy service offering Mentoring and supporting the development of engineers within the team Identifying and managing technical and commercial risk Work on Projects typically spanning; Residential, Commercial Offices, Healthcare, Science & Research, Mission-Critical & Data Centres About You You will be an experienced mechanical building services professional with strong consultancy experience and the confidence to lead both technically and commercially.
