What the Role Involves As the class teacher, you'll design and deliver lessons tailored to each child's unique strengths and needs. You'll support pupils not just academically, but emotionally and socially, helping them grow in confidence and independence. Your pupils may include children with: Autism or other neurodivergent conditions SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs ADHD or challenging behaviours Communication and interaction difficulties Learning gaps from disrupted education Your Responsibilities Lead engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEND Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour Encourage independence, confidence, and a love of learning Collaborate closely with colleagues, families, and specialists Contribute to planning, assessment, and Individual Education Plans (IEPs) Track progress and celebrate achievements Who We're Looking For We are seeking teachers who: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Have experience teaching pupils with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural needs Are patient, resilient, and adaptable Communicate well and thrive in a team environment Are passionate about supporting vulnerable learners Experience in specialist schools or therapeutic settings is a bonus but not essential.
