Senior Quantity Surveyor

CNX Recruitment is working exclusively on behalf of a well-established and growing electrical contractor, to recruit an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Edinburgh. This is a key commercial role, responsible for the financial management of multiple electrical projects across a range of sectors. The successful candidate will play a central part in driving commercial performance, managing risk, and supporting project delivery from pre-construction through to final account. Key Responsibilities * Full commercial management of electrical projects from tender stage to final account * Preparation, submission, and agreement of interim valuations and final accounts * Cost planning, forecasting, and budget control across multiple live projects * Procurement and commercial management of subcontractors and suppliers * Identification and management of variations, change control, and claims * Accurate reporting of project costs, cash flow, and commercial risk * Working closely with Project Managers, site teams, and senior leadership * Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required * Ensuring compliance with company procedures and commercial best practice Requirements * Proven experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role, ideally within electrical or M&E contracting * Strong understanding of commercial and contractual matters within the construction industry * Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously * Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills * High level of commercial awareness and attention to detail * Ability to work independently and take ownership of commercial outcomes * Relevant degree or professional qualification (preferred but not essential) What’s on Offer * Competitive salary, dependent on experience * Company car or car allowance * Pension and benefits package * Long-term opportunity with a stable and growing contractor * Supportive working environment with clear progression opportunities How to Apply To apply or to find out more information, please contact CNX Recruitment in confidence.
