EDM Wire & Spark Erosion Machinist

EDM Engineer As an EDM Engineer, you will set up and operate Spark Erosion and Wire Erosion machines to deliver high‑precision machining operations. You will play a key role in ensuring components are produced to exacting standards while supporting wider production needs. Key Responsibilities * Set up and operate EDM machinery, including Spark and Wire Erosion equipment. * Load raw materials and unload finished components safely and efficiently. * Adjust machine settings to meet required tolerances and production specifications. * Interpret technical drawings and work to customer‑defined tolerances. * Follow all procedures, safety guidelines, operating standards, and process documentation. * Maintain accurate logs of production activity, equipment issues, adjustments, and repairs. * Conduct machine inspections to identify mechanical or safety concerns. * Ensure machines are stocked with tooling and materials to minimise downtime. * Maintain a strong safety focus, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others. * Provide flexibility and support during peak production periods. Qualifications & Experience * Time‑served EDM Engineer or equivalent experience. * Hands‑on experience with Spark Erosion and Wire Erosion processes. * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. * Experience producing precision components to high quality standards. * Knowledge of manufacturing regulations, safety procedures, and best practices.
