Madison Reign is working in partnership with a large, mainstream secondary school in the Southwark. The school is seeking a proactive and dedicated Pastoral Assistant to join their supportive team. This is a long-term role starting ASAP, with a two-day paid trial and strong potential to continue until July 2028. Role: Pastoral Assistant 📍 Location: Southwark, South East London 💷 Pay: £15 – £17 per hour 📅 Start: ASAP 📚 Contract: Long term ( July 2028 +) Key Responsibilities * Supporting teaching and pastoral staff across the school * Covering classes when required * Providing 1:1 student support and intervention * Overseeing student attendance and absence follow-ups * Booking meetings and appointments with parents and staff * Completing administrative tasks related to pastoral care About the School * Large, mainstream secondary school * Rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted * Located in South East London with excellent transport links * Strong leadership team and supportive staff environment * Opportunities for professional growth and progression Requirements * Previous experience as a Pastoral Assistant or Cover Supervisor * Strong behaviour management and communication skills * Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff * Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) * Legal right to work in the UK * Able to reliably commute to Southwark This role is subject to: * Enhanced DBS clearance * Overseas police checks (if applicable) * Professional reference checks If you’re interested — or know someone who would be a great fit — please get in touch with Rodney at Madison Reign or click Apply Now.
