Teaching Assistant - General Cover (Phonics & Reading Interventions) Tradewind Education | Kings Cross | Full-Time Tradewind Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school near Kings Cross. This is a full-time role (Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30), providing general classroom support and delivering targeted interventions in phonics and reading. The role: You will support teaching staff in the classroom, help children access learning, and deliver small-group or 1:1 interventions to improve literacy outcomes. Key responsibilities: Assist in classroom management and daily learning activities Deliver phonics and reading interventions to individuals or small groups Support pupils' learning, engagement, and development Work closely with teachers to implement lesson plans and school strategies Maintain records of progress and contribute to assessments Requirements: Experience working in primary schools (classroom or intervention support) Knowledge of phonics programs (e.g., Read Write Inc.) and reading interventions A patient, proactive, and supportive approach Strong communication and teamwork skills DBS on the Update Service, or willing to apply (Tradewind will refund the DBS fee after 20 days of work) What Tradewind Education offers: Full-time, long-term placement Competitive daily rate Support from a dedicated consultant Opportunity to make a real difference to pupils' literacy and learning 📍 Location: Kings Cross 🕘 Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30-3:30 🏫 Setting: Primary School If you are passionate about supporting children with their reading and phonics development, this is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and supportive primary school environment
