Steel detailer

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Structural Detailer to prepare precise 2D and 3D models, shop drawings, and erection plans for steel fabrication and installation. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of structural steel with strong technical skills in industry-standard detailing software. Key Responsibilities: * Produce detailed shop drawings, erection drawings, and part lists for both structural and light gauge steel projects. * Develop accurate 3D models using software such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or Revit. * Interpret and coordinate with drawings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and constructability.architectural and structural engineering * Generate bills of materials (BOMs), CNC/NC data, and other fabrication deliverables. * Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, fabricators, and erectors to resolve design and connection issues. * Identify and communicate clashes, discrepancies, or design conflicts to the project team. * Maintain version control and documentation for all drawings and revisions. * Assist in quality assurance reviews, model coordination, and construction support when needed. Qualifications: * 3–5 years of experience in structural steel detailing. * Proficiency in Tekla Structures, AutoCAD * Understanding of steel fabrication and erection practices * Excellent attention to detail, mathematical, and problem-solving skills. * Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Preferred Skills: * Experience with Revit or Advance Steel * Familiarity with BIM coordination tools (e.g., Navisworks, BIM 360) * Understanding of shop and field tolerances, welding, and bolt connections
