Principal Process Engineer

Principal Process Engineer – Manchester Location: Manchester Contract: Full Time, Permanent Join PM Group’s UK Process team and play a key role delivering cutting-edge projects across the Life Science sectors. Reporting to the UK Head of Process, this role blends technical expertise with leadership, offering variety, influence, and the chance to shape high-value engineering solutions for global clients. What you’ll do: * Lead and develop a process engineering team on multi-disciplinary projects. * Deliver high-quality process designs: calculations, P&IDs, datasheets, specifications, reports, and studies. * Plan and manage process scopes, schedules, and deliverables to exceed client expectations. * Coordinate with other disciplines and international PM Group offices. * Support business development via proposals and client engagement. * Mentor junior engineers, promote innovation, and drive continuous improvement. What we’re looking for: * Degree in Chemical, Biochemical, Process, or related Engineering. * Chartered Engineer (e.g., IChemE) * Significant experience in process design/project delivery in Life Science, especially pharma. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. * Excellent communication, team leadership, and client engagement capabilities. * Familiarity with process design tools and ISO 9001 environments; Six Sigma certification a plus.
