Factory Supervisor


Imperial Recruitment Group are looking to recruit a Factory Supervisor to join our clients manufacturing facility based in Middlesbrough. Overall Purpose of job: To manage the factory labour force on singular and multiple company projects. Primary responsibility is to carry out their duties in such a way that there is no risks to the health and safety of anyone within the factory. To carry out, oversee, supervise, and evaluate the operations of the manufacturing teams within the assembly room and machine shop. Reporting to and assisting the Factory Manager with the general day to day running of the Factory. Reporting and documenting of all factory based processes and events. Area of Key Responsibility Production of the components within the factory. Allocating the work packages to the operatives. Monitor output of finished components Quality control. Roles & Responsibilities: Meetings with the Factory Manager to discuss and coordinate the workload on a daily basis. Receive the production plan sheets and allocate to the chosen teams / operatives. Monitors quality and progress of the product to ensure that programme is achieved. Ensure that the Factory Management Plan is adhered to including general tidiness, pedestrian and vehicular barriers, walkways, loading and storage areas. General maintenance of the factory and office including external areas and gates. Factory QMS Record and register Accidents Record near misses Assist with the Health and Safety Audits Maintain the Factory Phase Plan Carry out and record site inductions Writing RAM’s with line manager to approve Requests any COSHH information from Design & Procurement Abide to the HAVS register Abide by the Temporary Works Register Issue and record Permits Hold Tool Box Talks and record persons present Maintain the PPE register Maintain the PAT Test register, organised to the Line Manager Issue and record Safe Starts where required Maintain LOLER records, Where applicable raise any Variation to the Commercial Department Produce Plant and Material records / deliveries Authorise labour time sheets Quantify fixings required by type and quantity and request from Procurement Create NCR forms QA works, snagging and back snagging * Working hours Monday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm
