Senior CAD / BIM Engineer The Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of a engineering and control systems specialist that delivers complex automation, electrical, and digital engineering solutions across highly regulated and safety-critical industries. Due to continued project demand, our client is seeking a Senior CAD / BIM Engineer to support the delivery of high-quality design outputs across a diverse portfolio of engineering projects. The Role As a Senior CAD / BIM Engineer, you will take a lead role in producing, coordinating, and reviewing CAD and BIM models and drawings. You’ll act as a technical point of reference within the design function, supporting best practice, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring compliance with project and client standards. Key Responsibilities * Produce and manage detailed CAD and BIM models, drawings, and associated documentation * Coordinate BIM models across electrical, control systems, and multidisciplinary designs * Ensure designs comply with client, project, and industry standards * Review and quality-check drawings and models produced by others * Maintain and improve CAD/BIM standards, templates, and workflows * Support project teams with technical design input and coordination * Participate in clash detection, model reviews, and design coordination meetings * Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior CAD/BIM engineers * Contribute to continuous improvement of digital engineering and BIM practices About You You will be an experienced CAD/BIM professional with a strong background in engineering design environments and the confidence to take ownership of design quality.
