Veterinarian – Inner East Melbourne. Salary from $110,000–$160,000 DOE Some clinics burn vets out. Others help them build a career they’re proud of. This is firmly the second kind. Mont Albert Vet Clinic and Canterbury Veterinary Clinic are privately owned practices where vets stay, clients are loyal, and good medicine genuinely comes first. They’re now looking for an experienced small animal GP vet to join the team long term, someone confident, collaborative, and happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck into proper clinical work. The role This is a full-time position working across two clinics just 1km apart. The caseload is varied and interesting, covering consults, routine and more advanced surgery, dentals, and soft tissue procedures. Vets with strong surgical skills are particularly encouraged, if you can bring more surgery in-house, you’ll be recognised and rewarded for it. You’ll also have the chance to mentor junior vets, share ideas, and take part in regular case discussions. There’s optional exposure to companion exotics and plenty of support if you’re keen to develop a special interest. What’s on offer * Salary from $110,000–$160,000 + super, depending on experience. * No overnight or on-call OOH. * 1-in-3 weekends (consulting only). * Four weeks annual leave. * Generous CPD allowance plus paid study leave. * Visa sponsorship and relocation support available. * Excellent nursing support and sensible consult lengths. The clinics Canterbury Veterinary Clinic is a modern, purpose-built practice with a dedicated surgical suite, dental theatre, and strong local reputation, particularly for exotics. Mont Albert Veterinary Surgery has been part of the community for nearly 100 years and offers rehabilitation, acupuncture, and mechanical therapy. An underwater treadmill is being installed, with further renovations planned across both sites. These are clinics that continue to evolve and invest. Life in inner-east Melbourne Stroll down leafy streets to charming cafés, lunch spots, and local shops, or head a few minutes to Box Hill for its buzzing food scene.
