Job Title: Senior/Quantity Surveyor Location: Yorkshire Area Job Type: Full-Time Salary: Competitive Join Our Team We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established construction company based in the Yorkshire area. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of multiple construction schemes. You’ll work independently or as part of a small team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full contractual compliance. What’s in it for you? * Competitive salary * Career development and training opportunities * Support for professional qualifications * Collaborative and dynamic work environment Key Responsibilities * Provide commercial support to site and project managers * Monitor and update project costs, comparing monthly forecasts to actuals * Manage subcontractor procurement from start to finish * Conduct valuations, certifications, and approvals of subcontractor payments * Guide operational teams on cost estimation and contractual requirements * Present valuation reports and cost estimates to clients and managers * Tender and negotiate contracts, prepare target costs and contract documents * Support, manage, and mentor junior surveyors Requirements * HND in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (Degree desirable) * Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role * Strong knowledge of construction processes and contract types (JCT, NEC, etc.) * Proficient in MS Office * Valid UK driving license and CSCS card Key Skills * Strong numerical and analytical abilities * Excellent negotiation and leadership skills * Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to budget control * Effective communicator and problem-solver If you are ready to take the next step in your career, click ‘Apply Now’ and a member of our recruitment team will be in touch
