PSV/HGV Engineer

PSV ENGINEER - NIGHT SHIFT 4 ON / 4 OFF | 6PM-6AM | BYFLEET £22.55 per hour before midnight £27.55 per hour from midnight to 6am If you're a PSV Engineer tired of rotating shifts, underpaid night work, or constant disruption, this role is worth your attention. This is a fixed night position designed for experienced engineers who want strong pay, consistency, and clear responsibility. WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS A busy fleet requires a dependable night engineer who can take ownership, keep vehicles safe and compliant, and ensure they are ready for service every day. This role is critical to keeping operations moving smoothly overnight. WHAT YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR You will be trusted to carry out essential engineering work, including: Daily maintenance and servicing of the PSV fleet Carrying out vehicle inspections to required standards Diagnosing faults and completing repairs as required Preparing and presenting vehicles for annual MOT testing Attending roadside breakdowns and completing necessary repairs Correcting running defects to prevent repeat issues General servicing, repair, and preventative maintenance Managing the normal pressures of a busy workshop environment You will report directly to the Assistant Engineering Manager. THE SHIFT PATTERN 4 on / 4 off night rota 6pm to 6am 12-hour shifts Average of 42 hours per week No rotating shifts. No last-minute changes. PAY & REWARD £22.55 per hour from 6pm to midnight £27.55 per hour from midnight to 6am Your night work is properly recognised and rewarded.
