Mechanical Technician (Contract) Hunterston Contract type Contract CIS or Umbrella Rate £34£35 per hour Start date 16 March 2 weeks onboarding / NRS training Site install work from early April to end of year No long notice periods considered Do you have a strong mechanical fitting background? Are you experienced with site-based installation work rather than maintenance? Can you work on a nuclear-licensed site and pass BPSS/NRS clearance? If yes, this could be a good fit. What's in it for you • Long-term contract through to year-end • £34£35ph CIS or Umbrella • Installation-focused work • NRS training provided The role • Mechanical installation, assembly and dismantling of plant and equipment • Working to mechanical drawings • Use of hand tools and workshop equipment • Lifting and slinging activities • Completing basic job documentation • Site-based work at Hunterston What you'll need • NVQ Level 3 minimum in a relevant Mechanical discipline • Mechanical fitter / installation background • CSCS Card essential • Lifting & Slinging experience • Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings • BPSS & NRS clearance eligibility (UK resident last 5 years) Nice to have • Nuclear site experience (Magnox / NRS) • Welding or pipe fitting (Swagelok) • Experience in radiation-controlled areas To apply Please email your CV and apply via the job link.
