Mechanical Estimator

At Dornan we are currently recruiting for a  Mechanical Estimator to join an existing estimating team based out of head office in West London. Reporting to Estimating Lead , working alongside the commercial and construction team to provide    estimations and advice. As a commercial member of the team, the Estimator will be an exemplar ambassador for the company and its values; integrity, dependability, safety, pride, quality. Your day to day will include: To prepare and collate tenders and source pre-project information by a given deadline. To provide fast, accurate, competitive and profitable estimates from enquires stage to bid submission To follow up on submitted tenders To analyse sub-contractor / vendor quotations and checking inclusions and exclusions To deal with clients at post tender meetings and conduct presentations Provide support and assistance to the Estimating team Attend tender and follow up meetings when required All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager What we are looking for: Detailed knowledge of the Estimating role Commercial understanding Brief understanding of the Engineering systems Knowledge of the teams strengths and weaknesse Ability to prioritise workload Recognises own strengths and weaknesses and committed to ongoing development Roles and responsibilities: To prepare and collate tenders and source pre-project information by a given deadline.
