Design & Technology Teacher – Long-Term Role (ASAP Start) Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire Contract: Long-term, PAYE Start Date: ASAP PK Education are working with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school in Rotherham to recruit a Design & Technology Teacher for a long-term position, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate DT specialist to make a real impact within a supportive department. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical Design & Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will join a committed team and contribute to maintaining high standards of teaching and learning. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality DT lessons in line with the national curriculum Teach across KS3 and KS4 (specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or similar are welcome) Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress Create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment, particularly within workshop settings Effectively manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives as required Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level Strong subject knowledge and a passion for DT Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply) ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply PAYE Benefits This role is offered on a PAYE basis, meaning you will benefit from: Statutory sick pay Holiday pay Employer pension contributions No umbrella company fees or hidden deductions Full employment rights and transparency Why Apply?
