Sub Agent – Civils & Groundworks Location: West Clandon, Surrey Rate: £330 – £360 per day (CIS) Duration: 12 Months Project Value: £3M Start Date: 02.02.2026 We are currently recruiting on behalf of a £1Bn turnover Tier 1 Main Contractor for an experienced Site Agent to join an ongoing civils and groundworks scheme in West Clandon, Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term contract with a market-leading contractor on a well-established project. The Role As Sub Agent, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. Key Responsibilities: * Managing and coordinating civils and groundworks operations on site * Overseeing subcontractors, labour and plant * Ensuring health & safety compliance at all times * Driving programme and resolving site issues * Liaising with the Project Manager, engineers and commercial team * Maintaining accurate site records and reporting progress Requirements: * Coordinating subcontractors, * Monitoring progress, productivity, and performance against the programme. * Assisting with site planning, including short-term lookaheads and resource allocation. * Ensuring compliance with HSQE policies and standards. * Issuing permits (like permits to break ground) and managing safe excavation. * Producing and maintaining quality records, checksheets, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). * Supporting risk assessments and incident reporting. * Contributing to internal and client reports and progress meetings. * Supporting cost tracking and change management. * Liaising with the wider site team, clients, and subcontractors. * Mentoring junior engineers and fostering a positive team environment. * Driving efficiency through value engineering.
