Job Title: Electrical Tutor Location: HMP Ranby Salary: From £30,000 Contract: Permanent    Role Overview: We are recruiting an experienced Electrical Tutor to deliver high‑quality, engaging training to prison‑based learners at HMP Ranby. Working with small groups, you will deliver Electrics qualifications up to Level 2, helping learners develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours needed for future employment and long‑term progression. You will create and deliver effective training plans, provide ongoing advice and guidance, and ensure all learners receive a positive, supportive and motivating learning experience. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a measurable difference to learner outcomes in a secure environment.    Key Responsibilities: Deliver Electrics vocational qualifications up to Level 2 in line with awarding body requirements. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet a wide range of learner needs and learning styles. Develop individual learning plans and track learner progress effectively. Provide advice, guidance, and support to help learners achieve their goals and aspirations. Ensure all learning meets internal quality standards and contributes to positive learner outcomes. Maintain accurate records, assessments, and documentation. Promote a safe and positive learning environment within a secure establishment.    Essential Criteria: Level 2 Electrics qualification (minimum). Significant industry experience within Electrics. Experience delivering vocational training to groups or individuals. Ability to use varied and engaging teaching methods to motivate learners. Strong communication, organisational, and classroom‑management skills.    Desirable Criteria: Teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., AET, PGCE, TAQA) – or willingness to work towards these. Level 3 Electrics qualification (ideal). Experience working in secure environments or with disadvantaged learners. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
