Electrical Site Supervisor – HV Substation (Necton, PE37) Location: Necton 400kV Substation, Norfolk Rate: £400 per day (Outside IR35) Contract Type: Full-time, site-based, contract Duration: 6-month rolling contract (project runs until 2027) Hours: Monday to Friday, 10 hours per day (occasional weekends) IR35 Status: Outside IR35 MRR Infrastructure is supporting a leading global engineering-led consultancy delivering critical infrastructure across the UK’s transmission and distribution network. With a long-established reputation for high-quality project delivery on National Grid frameworks, our client specialises in complex substation and grid connection projects nationwide. We are currently seeking an Electrical Site Supervisor to join the delivery team at Necton 400kV Substation. This role offers the opportunity to support one of the UK’s key energy infrastructure schemes, providing on-site supervision of electrical works during a major substation build. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing subcontractors, monitoring day-to-day site activities, and ensuring that works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification. You will play a key part in promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, and supporting high standards of quality and productivity throughout the project lifecycle. As a visible leader on site, you will implement Safe Systems of Work, issue permits, lead by example in all aspects of health, safety and environmental management, and maintain project documentation, including reports and as-built records. This is a site-based position with some national travel potentially required. Candidates must be self-sufficient in arranging their own accommodation and travel as needed. Essential Qualifications & Experience: * CSCS Supervisor Card or CCNSG Safety Passport * SSSTS, SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely certification * National Grid Person and Competent Person (NSI 6 & 8) * Minimum 5 years’ experience in the T&D sector, ideally on National Grid sites * Proven experience in an electrical site supervision role * Full UK driving licence Desirable: * HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or formal electrical training * HSG47, First Aid, or IOSH Environmental training * Awareness of Impressed Voltage procedures * CITB Temporary Works Supervisor certification
