We are seeking an Accounts Assistant Manager to join our clients Guildford Accounts team. This role offers the opportunity to support and develop the accounts team, manage a varied client portfolio, and contribute to high-quality accounts preparation within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Hybrid and flexible working options are available. Key Responsibilities: • Manage a small portfolio of clients with a view that this will grow over time • Preparation and review of financial accounts for limited companies, groups, partnerships, and more • Preparation and review of year end working paper files and assisting auditors • Manage and prepare the timely and accurate consolidation of financial accounting for groups. • Reviewing financial accounts and files prepared by junior colleagues • Engaging directly with clients to support the Director with advisory work in corporate finance matters such as due diligence and company valuations • Manage detailed variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting and management reporting with comments. • Manage the day-to-day client relationship to ensure the client receives a dedicated service • Take ownership of assignments from initial briefing to presentation of final reports • Contribute to how the Accounts team is managed • Ensuring suitable training and supervision of junior members of the team is in place Candidate Requirements: • ACA or ACCA qualified and UK practice experience • Excellent communication, client management, and interpersonal skills. • Confident, professional, and proactive with strong IT skills, particularly Excel. • Team player able to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Employment Details: • Full-time, permanent role. • Hybrid working: three days in-office, up to two days remote. • Flexible working around core hours (10am–4pm).
